If you are not a first home buyer but are buying an established home, a new home or land to build a new home to live in the Northern Territory there are a few grants and initiatives which you may be eligible for.

Territory Home Owner Discount (THOD)
You may be eligible for the Territory Home Owner Discount if you have not had an interest in a property in the NT for at least 24 months. The 24 month period does not apply to applicants who no longer hold or will no longer hold an interest in a property as a result of a breakdown of a marriage or de facto relationship.
At least one applicant would need to occupy the property for a continuous period of 6 months within the first 12 months after settlement to qualify.
Eligible applicants could receive a reduction in stamp duty up to a maximum $18,601 when purchasing a home valued at $650,000 or less.
